ILLiad allows you to request materials not available at Adler University or in I-Share libraries, track your requests, and receive electronic delivery of articles and book chapters.

What is the difference between ILLiad and I-Share?
ILLiad (Interlibrary Loan internet accessible database) allows you to request books and articles that are not available through Adler and I-Share Libraries from other libraries across the country.
I-Share enables you to borrow books from libraries across Illinois.
Who can use ILLiad?
All currently enrolled students and currently employed staff and faculty with an active Adler ID.
NOTE: Alumni do not have ILLiad or I-Share privileges.
Is there any fee for the service?
No, ILLiad service is free to all current Adler faculty, staff and students.
How long does it take?
Books take typically 5-7 business days to arrive. Articles and book chapters, which are sent electronically, take 4-5 business days on average. However, the department cannot guarantee any 'Rush' delivery. Please submit your requests well ahead of any deadlines.
How does it work?
Logon with your ILLiad account, select the appropriate request form, fill out the form with all the required information and submit.
How will I know when the item arrives?
We will notify you via email when it arrives. You can also check the status of your requests by logging into your ILLiad account and clicking on "All Requests."
Where do I pick up my book or paper copy of an article?
Articles and book chapters are usually delivered electronically.
Books should be picked up at the Adler Library Help Desk. To make use of the full loan period, pick up the book promptly. You will need to bring your Adler ID card to claim or check out the items.
